GOOD THINGS YOU'LL FIND IN YAMI YOGURT
Live cultures nourish your digestive system.
Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus are the cultures responsible for turning milk into yogurt. We also add 4 probiotic cultures: Bifidobacterium lactis, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus casei and Lactobacillus rhamnosus, promoting healthy digestion.

Calcium, protein and potassium do your body good.
These three nutrients help keep your body strong and may aid in keeping your immune system healthy. Calcium is essential for healthy bones and joints, keeping them sturdy and limber. Protein helps you to feel full and, along with potassium, builds muscle mass.

Boosting your Vitamin D3 is smart.
The benefits of Vitamin D3 make a long list. It helps in the absorption of calcium so it’s a perfect addition to calcium-rich Yami. It is also said to protect against a number of ills by strengthening your immune system.

THINGS YOU WON'T FIND IN YAMI YOGURT
Lactose-Free yogurt is a good idea for almost everyone.
All Yami® Yogurts are lactose-free. We start with real milk and use lactase, an enzyme, to break down the lactose in our yogurt. Many people naturally produce lactase in their bodies, but for the millions of adults who have difficulty digesting lactose in dairy products, our yogurts are ideal. Yet the taste is smooth and sweet since the lactase enzyme process actually increases sweetness, reducing the need for added sugars.

Yami® Yogurts are also gluten-free.
Plain milk is naturally gluten-free. We add nothing to our yogurts that would change that. Gluten is a protein present in cereal grains that is responsible for the elastic texture of dough. For people with celiac disease, it is essential to avoid gluten since it can cause an abnormal immune response. Others limit their intake if they have a wheat sensitivity.

The milk in Yami is free of synthetic hormones.
You can trust the statement printed on our yogurt packages: “Made with Grade A milk that does not contain the synthetic hormone, rbST.”* These letters stand for recombinant bovine somatotropin (rbST), an artificial hormone meant to increase milk production. All cows produce their own normal bovine growth hormone, but our farmers have all agreed not to use rbST on their cows. *The FDA states that no significant difference has been shown between milk derived from rBST-treated and non-rBST treated cows.

Yami is free of artificial colors, flavors and sweeteners.
Cane sugar gives Yami its irresistible taste…never high fructose corn syrup. Read the ingredients: only natural colors and flavors make their way into Yami.
